The Freshwater House developed the idea of the operable façade to mediate between the requirements for privacy and shading on a relatively public site adjacent to the beach.
The resulting building is made up of three distinct parts; a podium base, a garden/ living space, and a bedroom volume clad with operable screens; each designed with unique spatial and material qualities.
                                                                 2.Skylight House

Chenchow Little’s residence in Sydney’s Balmain is a masterful manipulation of a heritage-listed home, with a sculptural form and striking central skylights.

3. Szirtes House

The Szirtes House at first glance takes a very modern and clean lined approach to architecture. The floor to ceiling doors let natural light pass right through the home without disrupting the aesthetics of the home. Hidden within lies a small patio with a tree that brings life to the home.

The inner courtyard of this house by allows openness and privacy at the same time, and becomes the focus point on this small footprint house.
